Research background

BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid sequence derived from a partial sequence of human gastric juice protein BPC. Unlike most peptides of similar length it is notably stable in aqueous solution and in gastric acid, a property that has made it a convenient tool compound in in-vitro work.

Published preclinical literature investigates BPC-157 in the context of angiogenic signalling pathways (including VEGFR2 and the nitric oxide system), fibroblast migration assays, and tendon- and gut-derived cell culture models. It is one of the most frequently cited research peptides in tissue-model literature.

Commonly studied in parallel with TB-500 in comparative repair-model panels. Supplied lyophilized with batch-matched COA.

Reconstitution and handling

Allow the sealed vial to reach room temperature before opening — opening a cold vial condenses moisture directly onto the lyophilisate. Introduce solvent (bacteriostatic water, sterile water; stable across a wide ph range) slowly against the inner wall of the vial rather than directly onto the cake, then let it stand for two to five minutes. Swirl gently if solid remains; never shake or vortex. Full method in our reconstitution guide.

Storage

Sealed and lyophilized: −20 °C for long-term storage, or 2–8 °C for several months. Protect from light and moisture. After reconstitution, refrigerate at 2–8 °C and aliquot rather than subjecting the stock to repeated freeze-thaw cycles. See the storage guide for detail.

Quality assurance

Every lot is released only after reverse-phase HPLC purity analysis at UV 214 nm and mass spectrometry identity confirmation against the theoretical mass for the sequence. Testing is performed by an independent analytical laboratory, not by the synthesis partner. The batch number printed on your vial resolves to the exact chromatogram in our COA library.
